By halftime, the Raiders had built a 43–0 lead, scoring in every phase of the game while giving valuable reps to every corner of the roster.

It was Rowland at its best — a team that plays fast, finishes stronger, and makes excellence look routine.

First Quarter | Fast Start and Early Control

The Raiders opened the game in rhythm. Senior running back #8 CJ Carrillo struck for the first touchdown of the night, setting the tone with pure power.

Moments later, senior quarterback #9 Jose Valadez connected deep with #7 Damien Arrieta, who separated down the sideline and hauled in a perfectly placed strike for six more.

Then special teams struck. A botched Artesia punt snap sailed past the punter and into the end zone, where a desperate kick attempt resulted in a safety for Rowland. By the end of the quarter, the Raiders led 14–0 — offense clicking, defense swarming, and momentum firmly theirs.

Second Quarter | The Avalanche

The second quarter turned dominance into separation. Senior #6 Bryce Johnson ignited the sideline when he jumped a route for a pick-six, sprinting untouched into the end zone. It was another defensive highlight in a season full of them.

On the next offensive series, Rowland struck again. #7 Damien Arrieta lined up at quarterback and unleashed a deep touchdown pass to #1 Aidan Opatkiewicz, hitting him perfectly in stride. Opatkiewicz capped the play by powering in the two-point conversion, pushing the score even higher.

#8 CJ Carrillo found the end zone again before halftime, pounding in his second rushing touchdown, and #3 Daniel Campagna followed with a short-yardage score of his own. The Raiders stormed into halftime leading 43–0.

Second Half | Depth and the Finishing Touch

With a commanding lead, Rowland rotated fresh legs across the field — and the production never dipped.

Junior quarterback #17 Cooper Kinsley took most of the second-half snaps, managing the huddle with composure and keeping the tempo sharp.

In the third quarter, #6 Bryce Johnson added another rushing touchdown to push the score to 50–7.

Freshman wide receiver #12 Kayleb Nicholson saw action on both offense and defense, showcasing athleticism and solid assignments in his varsity reps.

Senior #2 Nathan Alvarado then capped the night with a determined rushing touchdown, sealing the 57–7 win.

And on Artesia’s final drive, JV standout #23 Tim Teav, who had already recorded a pick-six in JV play the day before, stepped up once more — intercepting the final pass to close out the game.

Special Teams | Precision and Consistency

For the third straight week, kicker #20 Taylor Wright executed a perfect onside kick, placed with surgical precision. The ball bounced exactly where drawn up, landing untouched into the waiting arms of #28 Jeovany Delgado, who secured the recovery.

It’s become a Rowland trademark — the detail, discipline, and execution that turn special-teams moments into difference-makers.

Final word

From the first drive to the final whistle, Rowland played like a team chasing something bigger than a win. Every unit contributed — offense efficient, defense suffocating, special teams surgical.

Even as the starters rotated out, the standard never dropped. Younger players stepped in, executed, and reminded everyone what Rowland Built truly means.

The energy never faded — the stands roared loudly with generations of alumni who traveled to see this group dominate on the road.

Rowland’s 57–7 victory wasn’t just another Friday night. It was proof of culture, depth, and the relentless pursuit of the Gold Standard.

Next up: Still undefeated at 6–0, the Raiders welcome Pioneer High School (Whittier, CA) on October 10, 2025, for a home game as Rowland looks to carry its momentum into the second half of the season.
